Roast Productions is a live entertainment company founded by Bonnie Royal and Michael Stevens producing theatre, concerts and family work across the UK, USA and Australia.

In addition, we offer independent consultancy on general management, local producing, project development, international touring, marketing and ticketing for external producers.

Working in the West End and the UK regional circuit for over 25 years, Bonnie has a wide-ranging portfolio of work spanning plays, musicals and circus including THE 39 STEPS (West End), THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES (West End and UK tours), HAIRSPRAY (London Coliseum) and CIRCUS 1903 (Southbank Centre), but with a particular specialism in work for families and children including the kids’ entertainment icon PEPPA PIG.

With a background in marketing, she has led campaigns for an extensive and diverse range of productions including The Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company: PLAYS AT THE GARRICK season (which included THE WINTER’S TALE starring Dame Judi Dench and ROMEO AND JULIET starring Lily James and Richard Madden), THE 39 STEPS (West End) and FLEABAG (West End), as well as the West End transfers of the Almeida’s MARY STUART and the National Theatre’s HOME, I’M DARLING, and most recently Rodgers and Hammerstein’s OKLAHOMA! (West End), THE PADDINGTON BEAR EXPERIENCE (County Hall), VANYA starring Andrew Scott (West End & Off-Broadway), and WEATHER GIRL (Edinburgh & Soho Theatre).

Across more than 20 years in the performing arts industry Michael Stevens has focused particularly on collaborating with creatives in the commissioning, development and production of new work, operating within venues, performing organisations, festivals and producing companies in Australia, the Middle East and the UK.

In London since 2016, Michael introduced CIRCUS 1903 to London for 4 seasons at Royal Festival Hall and Hammersmith Apollo, and BARRY HUMPHRIES’ WEIMAR CABARET at Barbican Theatre, while new productions have included an all-star GUYS AND DOLLS at Royal Albert Hall, the European premiere of DOLLY PARTON’S SMOKY MOUNTAIN CHRISTMAS CAROL at the Southbank Centre, ROB BRYDON – A NIGHT OF SONGS AND LAUGHTER (80 shows at London Palladium and on tour around UK/Australia/New Zealand), PEPPA PIG – MY FIRST CONCERT (Royal Festival Hall, London Coliseum, & 90+ UK dates), and TUBULAR BELLS – THE 50TH ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION (50+ shows at Royal Festival Hall and on UK tour).
